Meet the Team

Erika Chasia is the Founder and Principal of Steward Capital Advisory, bringing more than 15 years of nonprofit finance leadership to the organizations she serves. Her career spans staff accountant to Chief Financial Officer across a diverse portfolio of mission-driven organizations — from national college access nonprofits to environmental advocacy groups to tech-equity organizations — giving her a rare, ground-level understanding of the financial challenges that growing nonprofits face at every stage.

Before founding Steward Capital Advisory, Erika served as a finance executive and independent consultant to more than 10 multi-state nonprofit clients, where she designed financial systems, strengthened compliance frameworks, and delivered the kind of board-level financial reporting that instills confidence in leadership and funders alike. Her prior organizational roles include Director of Finance at River Network, where she achieved 8% year-over-year revenue growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Director of Finance & Strategic Operations at Code2040, where she rebuilt financial infrastructure and reduced outstanding receivables by 90% within six months of joining.

Erika studied Economics and Mathematics at Yale University.
